We are excited to announce that our AI Trailer Mother of Monsters has ranked Top 50 in the Project Odyssey Season 2 AI Film Competition. We also got a Matty Shimura Pick for the trailer category.
This was an expiment in purely AI production. We used a variety of local tools to pull this one off and we're fairly pleased with the results.

Creative Note
When we decide to submit to these AI competitions we try to make sure that our submission is still providing us with an opportunity to explore our worlds as well as dips our toes into tech we don't normally use
This piece is a world-building exercise for a project we're code-naming; "Monster Sponsor."
This is an in world trailer for a "documentary" that we'd imagine would occur after our initial story takes place.
Production Note
This was our first fully AI spec trailer - no video2video or AI style filters. It took us about 2 weeks - and the crazy thing was Amber was on Jury Duty. So Jayson was doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
We referenced a number of Netflix documentary trailers. Pulling shot ideas and sequences from the ones the pro's use taught us a lot about how they edit their trailers. Masterclass stuff really.
The only thing in this project that wasn't purely AI was news clippings and social media post sequences. THose were manipulated & edited in adobe. But other than that everything is AI generated.
We're very excited to make more like this for future projects. The AI Workflow is definitely a powerful part of the pipeline we're excited to add to the worlds we're building.
